RED FLAGS
Walk away if an agent…
- Asks for money before an employer has selected you
- Refuses to give an official receipt
- Can’t show a license number, or it doesn’t appear on the BE&OE website
- Has no office address you can visit
- “Guarantees” a visa with no test or interview
- Offers a visit visa for a job, or asks you to travel without protector
- Keeps your original passport without a written receipt
HOW TO VERIFY
Four checks before you pay
- Ask for the OEP license number and check it on the BE&OE website.
- Ask for the job’s permission number and confirm the job, employer and country match.
- Visit the office listed on the license — not a café, hotel or sub-agent.
- Pay only with a receipt, and only after you are selected.
